• Administer year-round parasite control for heartworm and intestinal parasites according to the CAPC guidelines.
• Instruct children to wash their hands often - especially after playing with pets, after playing outdoors, and before eating.
• Promptly collect animal feces in the environment and dispose of it hygienically.
• Make unprotected sandboxes off-limits to pets and children. Cover sandboxes when not in use. |
